Radio…
I’m scratching around for ideas that I’d like to revisit once I’ve bought a digital SLR, and can start doing the “photo a day” thing. This shot was a 1 second exposure, with a little zooming for good measure.
It was flash lit by a handheld flash unit top left, my flash units aren’t currently controlable (it’s full or nothing) and it’s not diffused at all (hence the harsh shadow) mainly because I was being lazy and trying to bounce off walls instead.
Things I learnt during the shoot:
- Get a better background sheet
- Make sure the point sources are spread around the frame otherwise it looks lopsided
- Diffuse that flash!
- Clean the front of the radio, it’s covered in thumb prints
