Does what it says on the tin.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge Link

Bridge_Link_medium

I went to a comedy night tonight, without my camera. It was in the boot of the car though, so on my way home I stopped off by the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Everyone takes photos of the bridge at night, and cliché night was Friday – so I thought I’d try for a slightly more unusual angle.

PuzzleBoB

Puzzle

I went along to the BoB juggling convention today. Unfortunately the lighting wasn’t really good enough to shoot any jugglers (dim light mixed from at least 3 sources all at different colour temperatures – not great for moving targets!)

So instead, today’s picture is of a jigsaw puzzle.

Today’s second-choice-backup photo was of my mate Ewano being spotted sporting his Guy Heathcote disguise – Can you tell which is which?

Unfortunately I don’t think Ewano stands much chance of getting in to The Handlebar (moustache) Club with this effort.

Pick a card… any card…

It’s the Friday night cliché!

Units on one

I have a bit of a thing for numbers. I’m considering having a “number week” and taking photos on the numbers 1-7 in order. One per day. A while ago I tried to do something similar with my Holga and shoot the numbers 1-12 on a single roll of film.

Unfortunately I screwed it up by shooting a couple of the frames with the lens cap on, so I never did anything with it.

Perhaps I’ll save it for later in the year, when the weather is a bit nicer.

In other news – I found another desk – They’re like Bristol buses. You wait ages for one, then two come along at once which are in such poor repair that you’re worried that you’ll catch something if you sit down.

Old friends, empty glasses.

I went to the pub after work with my good friend Jenny, a bit of a catchup and a drink or two later we decided to go for food.

“Planet Pizza” gets a thumbs up, especially because their decision to name all the pizzas on the menu after planets gave me the opportunity to say “I’ll have uranus please” (snigger) – which I’m sure the staff never tire of hearing.

Anywho, I’m blaming the beers for the lack of quality photo tonight. Sorry. I hope the other 365 photos this year are a bit more interesting.

Lost Hat Week II

Hat2_medium

It seems to be lost hat week this week. I found one on Saturday and another today, I think that means I’m due to find another one on Friday. I’ll keep my eyes open.

I also found an abandoned desk in the middle of a park. I now need to find a microwave, a TV and a typewriter to complete the set.

Stealth pigeon

He sneaks up on you in the dark, and pecks at your kebab…

My two new(to me) Vivitar 283 flashes arrived today! They appear to have a hotshoe voltage of 6V so are safe to use on my D80, and with the addition of about £1.40 worth of components they’ll be fully variable output! Rah!

Roses are red(ish-brown)

I’ve had this rose since Oct 5th 2002.

The lighting was done with a toilet roll, a AA Maglite and a Tesco carrier bag. Nothing but the best ;-)

Lost Hat

I went for a walk this afternoon, as I’ve had too many days of taking indoor photographs.

The weather was grey and uninteresting, but I found a splash of colour that someone else had lost.
