Balls
I really must try to take some photos that aren’t cat related – but she’s so much fun!
Photos of Phones and Phonographs (occasionally)
Everybody say hello to my new housemate! She’s 2 years old and doesn’t have a name at the moment (well, she had a name that the rescue center gave her, but I can’t call her that – it’s too similar to the name a previous cat had)
Current contenders for names are:
Oh, and she’s nowhere near as grumpy as she looks – she just doesn’t like being chased round her new house with a camera…
I think I need to play with this technique a bit more as there’s definitely potential there, I ran out of daylight tonight though.
I’m auditioning for (more likely being auditioned by!) a Lounge Lion on Thursday, so I’ve been doing a little shopping in preparation. So far I’ve got catfood, litter tray, some litter, a cat carrier, and a scoopy thing for dealing with cat litter.
So that’s all the boring things bought – I get to shop for toys and bowls and baskets and things next!
I think I’ve *almost* found a location to shoot The Wills Building from which doesn’t entirely suck! This angle cuts out the majority of the introusive street furniture, cctv camera towers and busses. Although the perspective is a little odd and I could do with being about 20ft to the right, or a bit further left.
I’ll have to scope out some other shops on that side of the road with upstairs windows and experiment further…
After a day of fiddling with J’s car (discovering that the track rods are seized, the tracking is so far out that 3 out of 4 tyres are half bald, and the reason that the radio is on permanently is that the only-comes-on-when-you-turn-the-key line from the ignition appears to be disconnected) we went into Crawley for a celebratory meal in Nandos. Which was nice enough, but I was a bit spaced out after trying anew brand of antihistamines.
I was in two minds about posting this picture. On the one hand it’s better than anything else I shot today, on the other hand I can pick loads of holes in it and come up with plenty of reasons why I think it doesn’t quite work.
Rather than go into what I think is wrong with the shot (and what I think is right with it!) – I’d really like to hear what some of you lot think. If you like it, don’t like it, or think it’s almost there but could be improved, use the comments page to let me know what you think!
I’m not fishing for praise, I’m genuinely interested to see if other people pick up on the same things that I have, or if I’m being over critical.
It’s a return to boring white backgrounds tonight. Sorry!
I’ll try to get out of the office at lunchtime tomorrow and shoot something more interesting. If I get it together enough to take my bike to work, I might even go further afield than usual.
