First Harvest
Today, I picked my first batch of raspberries. The first of the season are always the best as I haven’t had a chance to get bored of the taste!
Looking at the quantity of fruit that has set on the bushes, I think I’m only a week or two away from jam making season – time to clear some space in the larder…
Oi! No fair. I’ve only had 2 off mine so far and I had to give one of those to Kate and Mark’s daughter, Tessa. You’re the second person to beat me at raspberry cropping and the first actually gave me the canes….
Well, that handful represents less than 1 berry per cane… I do have more than the average number of canes!
