Presently I’m re-reading “Walden” in preparation for a trip to New England next year. And your picture struck me as quite appropriate to illustrate Thoreau’s life in the woods near Concord. After all the Concord Circle called themselves Transcendentalists - what/who better to illustrate that than your dummy. Uncanny, really. And a lovely shot.
