I went round to see my parents today. They’ve got a coal fire. I want one.
Updates may be a little patchy for the next week, and I’m sure there will be at least one photo of the K-Jetronic Fuel Injection system I’m going to be trying to coax into life – or the VW Corrado it belongs to. I can tell you’re excited by the prospect.
We’ve had our fire burning occasionally for a few weeks now; coal and logs or scrap wood. I’d prefer a woodburner but the chimney would need expensive relining. Open fires are one of my favourite things….I even opened up the fireplace in a rented flat once, after a drunken evening, and had it swept and checked, and burned tiny compressed sawdust logs in it.
Surely your house has a fireplace or two?
