Bang!

BANG!

So far this evening, I’ve:

  • Rebuilt my £2 audio trigger and found some fresh batteries for it
  • Taken the above shot
  • Spent *far* too much time fixing the wordpress plugin I use to pick an image from my gallery software.

FFS, the gallery software has supported nested sub-albums for at least one major version now – why do I have to re-implement the support for it in the plugin each time I upgrade that to match the new version of the gallery?

This time round, my fix is everso slightly slicker.  Perhaps when I submit it back to the maintainer he’ll bother to roll it into the next release.

Now, time to feed the cat, feed me, and possibly take a look at PHP-IDS

looks like a slight double exposure due to timing differences between the two flashes. Perhaps more power from one flash through a diffuser panel would work better?

The double exposure is due to stray ambient as I was too impatient to get on with other things to wait until after sunset when I can make my front room truly dark.
The “single head, more power” approach doesn’t work, as it introduces motion blur.
Most flashes control the amount of light output by controlling the amount of time the flash discharge is allowed to happen. The longer the discharge, the more light you get out of it, but also the longer the subject is illuminated for. Hence the motion blur.
