Lydney Harbour

DSC_1709-RGB_pier_medium

On Saturday, after working at the railway terminating cables, I popped along to Lydney Harbour with my camera for a bit of an explore.  This ropey old jetty was off to one side of the harbour proper, I did think about going out along it to see what the view was like, but it was more than a little bit wobbly.

This rope was down one side, and I could see the post it was tied to at one end, but couldn’t work out what the other end was tied to.  Any suggestions?

There weren’t many boats around, but there were a couple of hovercraft – which you don’t really see that often in Bristol.

Wow, the first one in particular has a really dreamy quality about it.
