Wednesday Photos
Jonathan and I went for a photowalk on Wednesday lunchtime. I’ve only just got around to looking at the results. I shot loads of other photos, and having fiddled with them in post, they look too much like other photos I’ve taken too many times over the last couple of years so I haven’t bothered uploading them.
In van news: The bed is now waiting for me to build (and upholster) the headboard and for the mattress to be delivered next week. I’ve bought the wood to start building the kitchen units and have a piece of MDF whill will stand in as a worksurface until I can get a cooker/sink unit off ebay – then I can look for a proper worktop.
In Asterisk news: Bloody asterisk+fail2ban – what’s the point of logging a message saying “OMG h4x0rs!” and not logging the IP of the attacker, just your local IP? Before I realised this, my fail2ban config was banning the asterisk box not the attacker in some classes of attack. Gah! Still, the reading I did trying to find out why has led to me tightening up a few other settings to be more secure than the defaults so it’s not been a complete waste of time. I’m told the latest and greatest version of asterisk also logs the attackers IP addresses though, so I need to find a nice easy way to maintain an install of that.
In PAX news: It’s developed an annoying fault. None of the linefinders operate at all. Time to dig out the diagrams…
